Pastoral Leadership
Pastors Juan and Sara Acevedo
Pastor Juan comes from a family of seven members and grew up in a single-parent home, where his mother was the provider of the home. At the age of 14, after his parents separated, he experienced months of depression, reaching the point of thinking that his life had no value and considering suicide. However, by the grace and love of God, he was invited to a special service one Sunday in September 1986, and on that day he gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ. From that moment, all depression and anxiety disappeared, thanks to the great love that the Father showed by sending his only begotten son to give him new life and life in abundance as John 10:10 says.
Coming from a broken home awakened in Pastor Juan a passion for serving and helping others in the area of family. On April 2, 1995, he was installed as senior pastor of Christian Family Center Church (CFCDA) in Anthony, NM. On May 8, 1998, he married his beloved wife, Sara Acevedo, with whom he has two wonderful children, Yunnel and Emmanuel. After more than 20 years serving the city of Anthony, in March 2021, Pastor Juan and his wife were called to be the lead pastors of CFC in Canutillo, TX and unify two wonderful congregations CFCDA Anthony and CFC Canutillo into one.
Today, Pastor Juan, his wife Sara, and their children work together in the ministry so that others can come to the knowledge of the true God, who from the beginning established plans for every human being, which are plans for good and not evil to give us a future full of hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Pastor Sara Acevedo
